Jeff Gurtman is a travel expert and television host. Before being dubbed a travel spy, Jeff practiced his stealth skills as a secret shopper for luxury hotels, restaurants and nightclubs.

In this position, he traveled unannounced and incognito to some of the world's most exclusive travel destinations to put the staff and facilities to the test. Until Jeff joined Discovery Channel's Travel Channel series Travel Spies as a TV host, his classified evaluations were never made public.

A customer service expert, Jeff is in charge of teaching the staff about the little things that add up to luxury, from delivering luggage on time to offering wine to a guest in the proper way. But Jeff's lifestyle is not only for the rich and famous. His belief is that five-star service doesn't need to cost a lot; hospitality can be found in the most uncommon of places, from campgrounds and youth hostels to airlines and fast-food restaurants. Jeff's dedication to finding the best wherever it may be means he is constantly seeking and discovering unique, memorable and special experiences the world over.

Jeff Gurtman has worked exclusively in the hospitality business since graduating from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.

Jeff is currently working as the Director of Mystery Shopping for LRA Worldwide, Inc.
